Advantages and opportunities of the Foreign Research Fellows Program at the SRC:

Opportunity to present research findings at SRCs Research Seminars and get feedback from professionals.
Logistical assistance: The SRC staff will help with finding a Research Assistant, if needed, arranging Kyrgyz visa, finding accommodation in Bishkek and arranging airport pick-up/delivery.

The SRC is broadly interested in topics of political and social development in Kyrgyzstan as well as Central Asia, with a particular focus on the following areas:
Migration: The impacts of external and internal migration on economic and social development
Islam: political and social aspects
Development of civil society in Kyrgyzstan
Corruption (Kyrgyzstan)
Interested scholars should
Be PhD students or post-doctoral fellows
Offer a research project related to the research interests of the SRC
Be willing to submit a research paper every 1-2 months of fellowship at SRC.

From one month to one year.
